Description

Bed and Breakfast Prague City is located in a quiet section of Prague 3, but St. Wenceslas Square is three just streetcar stops away. The nearest stop is only 100 meters from the B&B and you can take trolleys #5, 9, 26, 55 and 58 from various parts of Prague to get there.

There are several large parks nearby as well as Prague's tallest structure, the Žižkov Television Tower. Built between 1985 and 1992, the tower consists of three concrete pillars that encompass pods for transmitters, a restaurant and cafe, and three observation rooms. Total height is 216 meters. The observation deck is at 100 meters and restaurant and café are at 63 meters. The tower gives visitors spectacular views from the highest vantage point in Prague and belongs to the World Federation of Great Towers.

In 2000, sculptures by Czech artist David Černý of crawling babies with oversized heads and alien faces were temporarily attached to the tower's pillars. The sculptures became so popular that were returned in 2001 as a permanent installation.

Room Amenities

The Prague City Bed and Breakfast offers a total of 40 rooms, with two to six beds apiece. 28 Rooms are available as "standard" (type B) and 12 are "comfort" (type A). All rooms have satellite TV, private bathrooms with shower and WC; additionally, comfort rooms feature apartment style living with an extra room and most offer bathtubs as well a shower. An air conditioner can be placed in any room for an additional charge.

The reception desk is open from 8am to 10pm and offers tourist brochures and sales of drinks and other items.

Secured parking for guests is available in the B&B courtyard. Rates are 500 CZK/day for top terms, 250 CZK/day off season. For guests with advance reservations rates are 300 CZK and 150 CZK respectively. Please inquire about availability.

Children five years and under stay free of charge. Children five to 12 sharing a room with adults at 50% of daily charge.

Childs bed: 100 CZK/day

Pets: 150 CZK/day

Air conditioning: 100 CZK/day

A buffet-style breakfast is available for a surcharge of 110 CZK per
person.

Numerous restaurants, bars and pubs are located in the immediate area.
